In step S307, a determination is made whether the angular velocity of a digital camera is lower than a first oscillation value or not. If it is lower than the first oscillation value, an exciting voltage is set to a first voltage in step S308. If the angular velocity equals or exceeds the first oscillation value, a determination is made in step S309 whether the angular velocity equals or exceeds the first oscillation value and lower than the second oscillation value. If it equals or exceeds the first oscillation value and lower than the second oscillation value, the excitation voltage is set to the second voltage in step S310. If it equals or exceeds the second oscillation value, the excitation voltage is set to the third voltage in step S311. The second voltage is greater than the first voltage, and the third voltage is greater than the second voltage. In step S312, an AE part, AF part, and a shutter part apply an excitation voltage to each stepping motor. Thus, a movable part is fixed to a prescribed position.
