Abstract:

To provide a driving force control device setting a shift stage or the gear ratio along a sense of a driver, when performing switching operation to a manual shift mode from an automatic shift mode by the driver, in an automatic transmission constituted to select a mode of the manual shift mode and the automatic shift mode.

The stepped automatic transmission selects the mode of the manual shift mode of shifting by manual operation, and the automatic shifting mode of automatically shifting. This driving force control device controls the automatic transmission so as to carry out a target shift stage by setting the target shift stage of the manual shift mode when performing the switching operation to the manual shift mode from the automatic shift mode, and detects or estimates an intention of speed reduction of the driver based on at least any one of braking operation of the driver or a travel environment of a vehicle (S30), and sets the target shift stage based on a detecting or estimating result of the intention of the speed reduction (S50) when performing the switching operation (S40-Y).
