Abstract:

To provide a braking force controller capable of regenerative braking while securing vehicle stability by a driving device normally operated, even when at least one of regenerative vehicle driving devices is out of order.

In this driving force controller, driving devices for increasing or decreasing a driving force are provided to at least two right and left wheels 10, 11, respectively, and braking mechanisms operated by hydraulic pressure and giving a braking force independently are provided to the two wheels 10, 11, respectively. The driving force controller includes a failure detection means (vehicle ECU) 39 for detecting failure of any of the driving devices, a braking instruction means (brake-motor integration ECU) 38 for applying the braking force to each of the two wheels when the failure is detected by the failure detection means 39, and a braking force switch means (brake-motor integration ECU) 38 for shifting the braking force of the wheel connected to the driving device which is not detected as failure, from the braking of the brake mechanism to the braking force of the driving device.
