Title:
DRIVING FORCE DISTRIBUTION CONTROL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2005082009
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To stabilize the strength of a vehicle while suppressing control interference between the control by a driving force distribution mechanism and the control by an anti-skid brake system.

A driving force distribution control device comprises driving force distribution mechanisms 15 and 19 to variably distribute the driving force to driving wheels 8L, 8R, 14L and 14R, a driving force distribution control means 18 to control the operation of the driving force distribution mechanisms 15 and 19, an anti-skid brake system (ABS) 20, and a friction coefficient estimation means 24 to estimate the friction coefficient of the road surface. The driving force distribution control means 18 has a first mode with the priority given to the behavior control of a vehicle 1 and a second mode with the priority given to the operation of the ABS 20 for the control modes of the driving force distribution mechanisms 15 and 19. Even when the ABS 20 is in operation, the first operational mode is selected as the control mode of the driving force distribution mechanisms 15 and 19 if the friction coefficient estimated by the friction coefficient estimation means 24 is equal to or greater than a predetermined value.
