To provide a driving force transmission device, saving space and inexpensively preventing the breakage of gears, and to provide an image forming device therewith.
The driving force transmission device comprises a motor gear 1, intermediate gears 2, 3, a fixing gear 4, a paper feeding gear 5, a side plate 6, a first brake member 11, and a second brake member 12. All gears are diagonal tooth gears. The intermediate gears 2, 3 are fixed to the axial direction, while the fixing gear 4 is movable, not fixed to the axial direction. Both brake members are elastic bodies, and the first brake member 11 has a free length greater than the free length of the second brake member 12. The second brake member 12 has a spring constant or a friction coefficient against the fixing gear 4 greater than the first brake member 11.
