Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a satisfactory cost of a driving device for a boat so that it is economically advantageous in terms of construction cost by simplifying the construction of the conventional driving device for a boat. SOLUTION: The driving system for a boat comprises a driving mechanism and a propeller shaft, which has a propeller that is directly connected to this driving mechanism. A diaphragm coupling 4, which bends axially but does not rotate and that is connected to the propeller shaft and the auxiliary thrust bearing, forms a connection in which there is no play. During emergency drive, the auxiliary thrust bearing stays abutted to flanges 1, 13 and the thrust shaft 2 on the driving side by thrust members 7, 8.
