Abstract:

To improve the steering stability by not only driving a vehicle body by use of one or both of an engine and a motor, but also controlling the motor so that a stable driving force or braking force can be provided in front and rear wheels to change the distribution of driving force and braking force to the motor-side drive wheels.

The overall control is performed by a main control part 130, and an engine 1 and a motor 7 are controlled according to the control instruction from an engine control part 131 and a motor control part 132. At this time, not only a vehicle body 4 is driven by use of one or both of the engine 1 and the motor 7, but also the engine 1 is controlled so that the driving force or braking force of front and rear wheels 3a, 3b, 9a, 9b is a maximum value or the vicinity thereof from slip ratio and characteristics of driving force and braking force to distribute the driving force or braking force of the front wheels and rear wheels. According to this, the road surface utilizing ratio can be improved to enhance the transmission efficiency of driving force or braking force from a power source, so that the steering stability is improved, and the fuel consumption can be also improved.
