Abstract:

To improve a starting characteristic and a driving characteristic of an internal combustion engine driven correspondingly when a driving temperature is high.

A pressure in a pressure area enhanced with respect to a peripheral pressure is maintained after stopping the internal combustion engine. Operation normality of a shut off valve gear which has to be closed for maintaining the pressure is inspected by detecting the pressure in the pressure area after stopping the internal combustion engine, controlling driving of the shut off valve gear so it is opened if a function is normal, detecting the pressure in the pressure area again after at least one passage of a predetermined time after opening driving control, and comparing it with the previously detected pressure.
