PURPOSE: To provide a driving method of a thermal head which corrects heat accumulation appropriately for a heat accumulative property of thermal head by considering a past accumulative non-electrified state together with a past accumulative electrified state.

CONSTITUTION: A structure which is realized by a means wherein a number of past accumulative electrified dots and a number of past accumulative non- electrified dots to one column before from this time electrification column are detected, and a means wherein an electrified pulse width of this time electrified dot is varied according to detection results for said number of accumulative electrified and non-electrified dots, is provided.
