Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method for a steel member capable of improving the working efficiency due to increase of the excavating speed and economically driving the steel member.
SOLUTION: A tip metal fitting 3 having a cross sectional shape similar to a steel sheet pile A is extendedly fitted to the tip of an auxiliary sheet pile 2 to be arranged along the inside face of the steel sheet pile A to be driven. The tip of the metal fitting 3 is cut obliquely to form a cutter edge 6. A driving auxiliary device 1 in which the cutter edge 6 is specially overlaid 7 with an brasion resistant material is fitted to the inside face of the steel sheet pile A to be driven, in a state that the tip of the tip metal fitting 3 is matched with the tip of the steel sheet pile A and driven together with the steel sheet pile A. In this way, the steel sheet pile A can be efficiently driven by drawing out the driving auxiliary device 1 after driving operation of the pile.
