The driving orientation estimation device for estimating the driving orientation using the information processing mechanism 100 comprises a driving operation quantity detection part detecting a possible driving operation quantity ACC changed by driving orientation; and a driving operation quantity correction part 97a correcting the detected driving operation quantity based on the traveling environment of a vehicle, and estimates the driving orientation using the information processing mechanism based on the corrected driving operation quantity. The traveling environment can include at least either of road gradient and road slipperiness. The driving operation quantity can include at least any one of accelerator opening, accelerator opening change quantity and brake operating force. The information processing mechanism can include an information processing mechanism using a knowledge system such as neural network or genetic algorithm.
