Title:
DRIVING SCREW NAIL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011043234
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a driving screw nail solving the problems of conventional driving screw nails and the like wherein they can only exhibit significantly low pulling retaining load performance compared to screw nails using an electric driver or the like, with the result that pulling the nail requires a nail puller and the like, leading to troublesome work that could damage mounting members, and that the nails are likely to crack wood if driven into thin plates or ends of wood.

The driving screw nail has multiple threads provided on the outer periphery of its nail shank portion and has provided at the head of the nail a fitting hole that fits an electric driver or the like, the multiple threads having a lead angle of about 45°, and having a thread side face of 15° at its nail end and a thread side face of 45° at its nail head when its thread shape has an apex angle of 60°, with the tip of the nail taking the form of a cone with an apex angle of 90°. The pulling retaining load performance of the nail is as high as several times that of various conventional nails and the like. The driving screw nail exhibits performance similar to that of a thread screw and can be easily removed using an electric driver or the like, while avoiding wood cracking.
