Abstract:

PURPOSE: To restrict deformation of a shaft body at an adhesion part, prevent concentration of stress, improve adhesion, and improve the durability by setting an angle of fibers in the shaft body to a shaft direction at a binding part of the shaft body to a metal yoke to be larger than that at the other parts of the shaft body.

CONSTITUTION: An end part of a shaft body 1 of fiber-reinforced composite material is bound to a metal yoke 2 by adhesive 3 to be a drive shaft. At this time, an angle of the fibers in the shaft body 1 to the shaft direction is set to be larger at the binding part of the shaft body 1 to the metal yoke 2 that at the other parts of the shaft body 1. A Young's modulus at this binding part is thus set higher, deformation of the shaft body at the binding part can be restricted, a sufficient adhesion force can be obtained, and the durability can be improved.
