Abstract:
To maintain a drowsiness eliminating effect of a driver.SOLUTION: A driving support apparatus according to an embodiment is comprised of: a first acquisition unit that acquires first information on the body of a driver who is driving a vehicle or second information on a quality of sleep while the driver is at bedtime; a second acquisition unit that acquires a degree of drowsiness of the driver while the driver is driving the vehicle; a calculating unit that calculates an effect-disappearing prediction time which indicates a predicted time when the driver is not stimulated even if a stimulus is given to the driver on the basis of an interval of a time when the drowsiness acquired by the second obtaining unit is equal to or more than a predetermined threshold; and a control unit that makes control different for the driver depending on the first information or the second information acquired by the first acquisition unit and the effect-disappearing prediction time calculated by the calculation unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
