To suppress such a situation that a vehicle position cannot be specified, on the basis of detail map data.SOLUTION: A vehicle position specification device comprises: a first map data storage part; a second map data storage part in which, map data of a second map in which a feature in a specific region is precisely expressed relative to a first map, is stored; a vehicle position specification part; and a distance specification part. The first map data storage part stores distance information in association with a specific node, and the vehicle position specification part specifies a vehicle position relative to the specific node, when it is estimated that the vehicle passes the specific node. When it is specified that, the vehicle has reached to a position separated by predetermined distance from the specific node, along a specific link, on the basis of the relative position, predetermined distance, and measured movement distance, the vehicle position specification part specifies the vehicle position on the basis of the second map.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
