This system comprises a camera taking external images from the vehicle; a car navigation device calculating the own vehicle position; an outside image reproduction part generating an outside image to be taken from the position calculated by the car navigation device by use of a 3D map; an image comparison part comparing an image generated by the outside image reproduction part with an image taken by the camera; a detailed position calculation part calculating the detailed position of the own vehicle by use of the comparison result by the image comparison part; and a display device displaying an outside image generated by the outside image reproduction part 46. The outside image reproduction part generates an outside image to be seen from the detailed position calculated by the detailed position calculation part by use of the 3D map.
