To provide a portable driving support system capable of calling an attention of a driver even at a point of place which a GPS signal does not reach without vehicle remodelling for setting.

This driving support system detects a current position by acquiring information of longitude and latitude of the current position from the GPS signal received by a GPS antenna 41. A computing part 45 computes a distance between the current position and a place to stop the vehicle and decides to generate an alarm to urge stopping of the vehicle by using this distance and information of a memory card 44. It decides to generate the alarm to urge stopping of the vehicle by using elapsed time acquired from a timer 43 and the information of the memory card 44.
