Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a travel support system in which a vehicle group forming a congestion is specified without ITS infrastructure and the congestion of the vehicle group can be resolved.SOLUTION: A travel support system includes: congestion prediction means which makes a congestion prediction by performing the congestion prediction in real time on the basis of an estimated vehicle group distribution; vehicle group congestion information acquisition means which acquires congestion prediction information about a vehicle group obtained by the congestion prediction means; vehicle group end vehicle specification means which specifies a vehicle group end vehicle indicating start or end of a congestion from congestion information about the vehicle group; and travel support information providing means which provides travel support information to the vehicle group end vehicle specified by the vehicle group end vehicle specification means. The travel support information providing means provides travel support information for congestion resolution to at least one vehicle group end vehicle.
