Abstract:
A driving support system (11) takes an image of a lane marking on a traveling road, creates a first reference line at an inner side of the lane marking obtained based on the taken image, and alerts a driver when a vehicle passes across the first reference line. Furthermore, the driving support system changes the first reference line to a second reference line located inward of the first reference line when passing is prohibited on the traveling road where the vehicle travels, a steering angle of a steering wheel is equal to or larger than a prescribed angle toward the lane marking side, and a step-on amount of an accelerator pedal is equal to or larger than a prescribed amount (ST106).
