Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to drive steel members so as to secure a round circle, by arranging a transferable fixing device so as to ride on the upper end of a rind wall arranged at the periphery of an existing structure and connecting a defining member having an arcshaped space for piling to this fixing device.
CONSTITUTION: A ring wall 5 made of reinforcing concrete as a retaining wall is arranged at the outer periphery of a tank mound for the foundation of an existing structure 1. And a fixing device 6 is formed on the upper end of the rind wall 5 by a metal fixture 6a and a pressing bar 6b so as to ride on the upper end of the ring wall. The end of this metal fixture 6a is extended and an extensible arm 7 having a length-adjustable fixture 7a at the middle of the extended metal fixture is provided. And a defining member 8 is attached at the front end thereof. The rind wall 5 and the arc-shaped space 8c for driving steel members formed by the defining member 8 are arranged coaxially. Steel sheet piles 2 are driven in turn by a vibratory piling machine 9 while being connected to each other, along the guide of the arc-shaped space 8c for driving steel members formed by the defining member 8. In this way, the steel sheet piles 2 are driven on the same round circle with the ring wall 5.
