In this driving unit 10 for operating a radial piston pump in a hydraulic power device for a braking device of anti-skid control type of, in particular, an automobile, eccentricity devices 14, 16, 18 arranged on a motor shaft 12 of a driving motor of the driving unit include mechanical driving parts 16; 20, 22, 24 for a supporting body 18 surrounding the eccentricity devices, respectively. Consequently, the mechanical driving parts 16; 20, 22, 24 achieve difference in rotational speed between the motor shaft and the supporting body 18. In particular, the deceleration type driving part enables the use of a driving motor having a compact structure, having small driving torque, and rotating at high speed.
