To provide a driving wheel supporting mechanism that sufficiently exhibits suppressing performance against longitudinal impact or vibration applied to a driving wheel, and transmits power from a chain to the driving wheel in a simple constitution, in a bicycle and a motorcycle for transmitting the power to the axle of the driving wheel with the chain.
The driving wheel supporting mechanism 2 has the suspension mechanism that is disposed in a frame 1 and rotatably supports the driving wheel 3 and a power transmitting mechanism. The suspension mechanism has a longitudinally moving suspension 105 that supports the driving wheel longitudinally movably with respect to the frame and moderates an impact to the driving wheel. The power transmitting mechanism has a combination of mutually engaging inner gear 211 and outer gear 212 of which one has the rotation center at the same height as that of a mounting part 1 of the longitudinally moving suspension to the frame and the other has the rotation center at the same height as that of the axle 22 of the driving wheel, and transmits power transmitted through the chain 4 to the axle.
