Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the man-hours of the connector mounting work and reduce the number of part items by fixing one end of a rivet to a connector side, connecting the other end of the rivet to a first hole provided on the circuit board side, providing a flange at the middle section of the rivet, and fixing the flange and the circuit board.
SOLUTION: The board side shaft section 34 of a rivet 30 fitted to a connector 1 in advance is inserted into the hole 44 of a board in a temporary mounted state, the whole is heated, a flange fixing pad section 42 and the flat section 33 of the rivet 30 are fixed by soldering, then the connector 1 can be mounted on the circuit board 40 concurrently with another soldering mount area. After the fixing by soldering, fused solder 50 is fed near the board side shaft section 34 of the rivet 30 from the back face of the circuit board 40 to make the fixing by soldering more firm. The solder 50 enters the hole 44 via a hollow section 36 and a slit section 35, the board side shaft section 34 of the rivet 30 and a rivet fixing pad section 43 are fixed by soldering, and the board 40 can be fitted more firmly.
