To improve efficiency in testing by quickly and easily performing suspension work of an object to be tested when performing a drop test repeatedly and continuously.
A drop testing device 1 comprises: a base 3 including a landing surface 2; a post 4 erected from the base 3; and a protection member 11 provided at an upper portion of the post 4. The protection member 11 includes: a first guide sheave 6 for guiding a suspension wire 5 suspended by a take-up motor 14; and a second guide sheave 9 that is constantly connected to a vehicle 7 and guides a suspended or falling messenger wire 8 together with this vehicle 7. The suspension wire 5 includes a clamp member 12 that is detachably connected to a connection member 10 mounted to the vehicle 7 and can travel along the messenger wire 8. In a drop test of the vehicle 7, the clamp member 12 is descended along the messenger wire 8 to the dropped vehicle 7. When the clamp member 12 reaches a position where the clamp member 12 can be connected to the connection member 10, they are connected each other.
