Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface treating agent exerting water-slippery performance which includes a polymer derived from an unsaturated compound having a polyfluoroalkyl group with small effects on living bodies and environment, and does not include a polymer having a structural unit derived from an unsaturated compound having a linear perfluoroalkyl group with 8 or more carbon number.SOLUTION: A water-slippery surface treating agent includes a polymer having a structural unit derived from a compound expressed by formula (a): CH=C(R)-COO-Rf, where in formula (a), Ris H or methyl; and Rfis a polyfluoroalkyl group whose carbon number of the main chain is 2-3, and whose terminal group is CF.
