Abstract:
To provide a drug delivery device and a balloon catheter capable of delivering a drug over the entire outer peripheral surface of a medical device.SOLUTION: A drug delivery device 1A has a tubular shape, and includes: a supply tube 2A that has a lumen 20L through which the drug supplied from a proximal end part 20P passes; a release section 3A that is provided at a distal end part 20D of the supply tube 2A and releases the drug supplied to the supply tube 2A toward the medical device; a holding member 4A that holds the drug delivery device against the medical device, is provided somewhere between the proximal end part 20P and the distal end part 20D of the supply tube 2A, and holds the medical device and the supply tube 2A in a rotatable state relative to each other. In the drug delivery device 1A, a central shaft C1 passing through the center of the supply tube 2A does not coincide with a first rotation axis R11, which is the rotation axis of the supply tube 2A held by the holding member 4A relative to the medical device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
