PURPOSE: To provide the title drug having low toxicity and no side-effects, and effective to incision, scald, eczema, atopic dermatitis, cutaneous ulcer, etc., by using specific prenyl ketone compounds (some of which are novel) as effective components.
CONSTITUTION: Compound of formula I [the sign of formula V represents a saturated or unsaturated bond; R1 is lower alkyl; R2 is prenyl group of formula VI (l, m and n are O or 1, with the proviso that 1+m+n≥2; a-f are H, a-b, c-d and e-f form bonds)] is added as an effective component to cream for external application, ointment, etc. for accelerating the heal of skin injury. The compound of formula I is obtained, e.g., by the alkali treatment of a compound of formula IV obtained by the reaction of a compound of formula II (X is halogen) with a compound of formula III in the presence of a condensing agent.
