Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel melanogenesis inhibitor by a drug which inhibits the production of αMSH (1-8) which is a peptide consisting of eight amino acids constituted in the order of the sequence of serine, tyrosine, serine, methionine, glutamic acid, histidine, phenylalanine, and arginine produced inside of the body by receiving ultraviolet rays and stress, and also to provide cosmetic compositions, pharmaceutical compositions, and food and drink compositions containing the drug inhibiting the production of the αMSH (1-8).SOLUTION: The invention provides a novel melanogenesis inhibitor which inhibits the production of a peptide consisting of eight amino acids constituted in the order of the sequence of serine, tyrosine, serine, methionine, glutamic acid, histidine, phenylalanine, and arginine, and cosmetic compositions, pharmaceutical compositions, food and drink compositions, particularly aiming at the prevention and improvement of skin whitening and spots/freckles, containing it.
