Abstract:
To correctly install an anchor spring without causing installation failure when manufacturing the LT type drum brake assembly of a floating anchor type, and to certainly prevent the fallout of the anchor spring after installation.
In this drum brake in which one side of a leading shoe 2 and a trailing shoe 3 is drawn by the anchor spring 10 to abut on an anchor 9, a hook retaining part 17 axially pressing down hook parts 10a, 10b on both sides of the anchor spring 10 toward a backing plate side is arranged on a shoe guide plate 9b. When the hook parts 10a, 10b of the anchor spring are half hooked on mounting holes 15, 16, interference with the hook retaining part 17 occurs, thereby, components assembly can not be performed.
