PURPOSE: To easily attach/detach a brake shoe without removing a hub in a drum brake.
CONSTITUTION: A brake shoe 2 is arranged on a back plate 1, a pin 3 is inserted in holes 7, 6, and its head part 11 is abutted on the back plate 1. An approximately U-shaped leaf spring 20 is abutted on a web 5 of the brake shoe 2, and the pin 3 is inserted in a hole 21 on one end side. The leaf spring 20 is deflected to insert a locking part 12 of the pin 3 in a long hole 22 on the other end side, and the pin 3 is turned by 90° to engage the locking part 12 with a groove 23 and lock it to the long hole 22 to fit the brake shoe 2 to the back plate 1. An extension part 20a is extended to the other end side of the leaf spring 20 and projected to the outer circumferential side of a hub (not shown in the figure). The leaf spring 20 can be easily deflected without removing the hub by pressing the extension part 20a, and the locking part 12 is attached/ detached to/from the long hole 22 to exchange the brake shoe 2.
