Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discharge water collected in a groove of a backplate peripheral edge out of the backplate without dripping on a brake constituent member.
SOLUTION: A backplate 1 is composed of a flat part 2 attached to a brake bracket and a groove part 3 engaged with a brake drum, and the flat part 2 consists of a first part 4 with the upside formed chevronwise, a vertical second part 5, and a circular arcing third part 6. In this case, both the first and second part 4 and 5 are formed nearly 90 degrees with the flat part 2, but the third part 6 is formed into a incline.
