To provide a drum lifter supporting and vertically and laterally moving a drum for simply attaching and detaching the drum for winding a wire rod to/from equipment that uses the drum.

The drum lifter includes: a slide base 20 attached with rollers 25 for allowing side movement and for placing the drum 10; a fixing base 13 attached with slope blocks 16 having sloped faces 16b serving as tracks of the rollers 25; and a base lifter 30 having an air-pressure cylinder 31 pushing and pulling the slide base 20 sideways. Merely by the side moving by the base lifter 30, the slide base 20 can be moved vertically and sideways.
