To provide a drum type magnetic separator used also as an ore separator, for example capable of surely segregating a high magnetizing component from a sintering raw material, uniformly incorporating the adequate quantity of coke thereinto and then producing a sintering raw material having high sintering property.
The magnetic separator is provided with a rotary drum 13 forming a 1st electrode 17 composed of a conductive part, magnets mounted along one side inner peripheral surface of the rotary drum 13, in which a raw material flows down, in a fixed state inside the rotary drum 13, a dielectric layer 18 formed on the whole outer peripheral surface of the rotary drum 13, a 2nd electrode 30 arranged apart from the upper part position of one side outer peripheral surface of the rotary drum 13 and a high voltage generating device 32 having a pair of output terminals 33, 35 connected respectively to the 1st and 2nd electrodes 17, 30.
