The drum 1 consists of a body-shell 2 which is formed to a cylindrical shape, drumheads 3 which are stretched between both side ends of this body-shell 2, hoops 4 which stretch and mount these drumheads 3 to the body-shell 2 and fixtures 5 which fix the stretched and mounted drumheads 3 to the body-shell 2. The body-shell 2 consists of the assembled material formed by using wooden board materials and assembling and adhering these materials by using adhesives. The body-shell is formed to a hollow cylindrical shape formed to a centrally bulging arc shape of which the diameter in the central part bulges larger than the diameter at both ends. The range of material selection is made wider and the defects intrinsic to the materials may be ameliorated by such constitution and, therefore, even the thinning materials are made usable and the effective utilization of resources is possible. In addition, a cost reduction is made possible as well.
