Title:
DRY CELL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5828173
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance the superheavy-load discharge characteristic of a dry cell by using an electrolyte, a solution prepared by adding sodium perchlorate to an aqueous solution containing zinc chloride.

CONSTITUTION: An aqueous zinc-chloride solution used as an electrolyte is added with below 10wt% of sodium perchlorate. In addition, as it is needed, a small amount of a salt such as ammonium chloride is added to the above electrolyte solution. When a moistened anodic mixture for a dry cell is prepared by use of thus prepared electrolyte solution the effect of greatly suppressing the corroded rate of zinc in the electrolyte is synergistically exhibited in addition to the enhanced superheavy-load discharge characteristic of the dry cell.
