Title:
DRY ELECTRICALLY NONDETECTABLE TONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6470750
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the shelf stability of a toner and the suitability to cleaning by coating the surfaces of pigment-contg. particles with a specified fluorocarbon compd.

CONSTITUTION: The surfaces of particles of a pigment-contg. org. resin (e.g. cellulose acetate) having 0.2-30μm size distribution are coated with a compd. represented by the formula R (f) QA [where R (f) is perfluoroalkyl, Q is a divalent combining group bonding R (f) to A, e.g. alkyleneoxy and A is a terminal group] or a functional group substd. fluorocarbon compd. made of fluoro aliphatic polymeric ester to obtain the objective toner. A compd. represented by the formula [where each of R1 and R3 is H or 1-6C alkyl, R2 is 2-6C alkylene, (n) is 4-20 and (m) is 0-22] may be used as the compd. represented by the formula R (f)-QA. The toner is selectively stuck to the adhesive area of a photosensitive layer with a nonadhesive area as well as the adhesive area to carry out development and the resultant material is used as a color proof for proofreading a double print, etc.
