Title:
DRY HOT-DRAWING OF ACRYLIC FIBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04263613
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a process for the dry hot-drawing of an acrylic fiber having excellent drawability while suppressing the increase of denier nonuniformity.

CONSTITUTION: An acrylic fiber is drawn at a total draw ratio of N (speed ratio of a feeding roller and a drawing roller) by the following process. The fiber is drawn at a draw ratio of ≥X (defined by the following formula) on a hot pin and then drawn at a draw ratio of ≤N/X on a hot plate to effect the dry hot-drawing at a total draw ratio of N. X={(N-1)/2}+1 [N=(speed of feed roller)/(speed of drawing roller)]. The process enables the drawing at a high draw ratio compared with conventional dry hot-drawing process while decreasing the denier nonuniformity even at a high draw ratio.
