Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a respiration-drive type dry powder inhaler and system being easily usable without discomfort.SOLUTION: A dry power inhaler 100 may include a unit dose cartridge 150 to be used along with the inhaler, or not include the unit dose cartridge. The inhaler and/or cartridge may include drug delivery formulation comprising, for example, diketopiperazine and an active ingredient including peptides and proteins, such as insulin and glucagon-like peptide 1 for treatment of diabetes and/or obesity. The dry powder inhaler has a small size, can be provided in various shapes, sizes, and colors, and includes a housing 120, a mouthpiece 130, a cartridge arrangement area, and a mechanism for opening and closing the cartridge. The device can be easy to manufacture, provides a preliminarily measured single unit dose, can be relatively easy to use, and can be reusable or disposable.
