Abstract:
To provide a processing method for converting slag ejected from a converter in a copper smelting into an iron raw material.
In the method for processing the converter slag containing 1 mass% or more of Cu produced in the copper smelting process, the converter slag is set inside a reducing furnace; a heating reduction of zinc content and copper content contained in the slag and a volatilized removal of the reduced zinc are carried out in the reducing furnace; and the removal of the reduced zinc by volatilization is carried out while the air-blowing quantity to a reductant charging quantity is controlled to 0.25-1.0 of the air-fuel ratio.
