Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a lubricating oil tank attachable freely at the time when it is attached to an assembly consisting of a cylinder block and a halved crankcase.
SOLUTION: A dry-sump lubrication type four cycle engine unit 3 equipped with a lubricating oil tank 61 at the outside is formed with both a first and second packing surfaces 61a and 61b in parallel with this lubricating oil tank each other. On the other hand, a tank mounting packing surface 22 is formed at the side of an assembly consisting of a cylinder block 12 and a halved crankcase 11 as well as a surface being orthogonal with a crankshaft 15, and the first packing surface of the lubricating oil tank is attached to this tank mounting packing surface, then a cover 63 is attached to the second packing surface of the lubricating oil tank.
