Title:
DRYER CANVAS FOR PAPER-MAKING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03227478
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a dryer canvas having prescribed thickness and air- permeability without excessively lowering the dimensional stability, rigidity and durability by specifying the warp, weft and woven texture of a synthetic fiber.

CONSTITUTION: A canvas having a thickness of 1.3-1.7mm and an air- permeability of 2,000-6,000cc/cm2/min can be produced by weaving a warp 10 and a weft 11 by weft backed twill weave [warp density of 50-60 yarns/2.54cm and weft density of (13-20)×2 yarns/2.54cm], wherein the warp 10 consists of a monofilament having flat cross-section (minor diameter of 0.20-0.35mm and major diameter of 0.50-0.60mm) and the weft 11 consists of a monofilament (0.50-0.70mm in diameter), a spun yarn having a cotton yarn count (synthetic count) of 1.0S to 2.0S and/or a sheath-core conjugate yarn (0.60-0.85mm in diameter).
