To provide a dryer which can heat by using the exhaut heat of an engine.
A dryer 1 comprises a refrigerant circulating circuit R having a drying chamber 2, a compressor 5, a condenser 6, a pressure reducing device 7 and an evaporator 8 which are sequentially connected together by a refrigerant piping 9, an engine 10 for driving the compressor 5, an engine cooling water circulating circuit E for connecting the engine 10 to a radiator 11 by a piping 12 to water-cool the engine 10, a pump 13 provided in the engine cooling water circulating circuit E for circulating water in the engine cooling water circulating circuit E and a dehumidifying passage 15 for taking air in the drying chamber 2, removing water in the air and feeding the air to the drying chamber 2. The evaporator 8 and the radiator 11 are provided in the dehumidifying passage 15 and the evaporator 8 is disposed more windward than the radiator 11.
