PURPOSE: To prevent a bad influence of dropping of condensed dew on wet paper or a canvas by preventing condensation of dew on the lower surface of a ceiling part of a dryer hood of a papermaking machine.
CONSTITUTION: A blow-off hole 9 for supplying high-temperature and low- humidity air is made in the lower part of a ceiling part of the hood and high- temperature and low-humidity air is blown off through the blow-off hole 9 and 10. The blown-off air is allowed to form an air layer flowing toward the discharge opening on the lower surface of the ceiling part and this air layer is discharged together with high-humidity air through the discharge opening. The lower surface of the ceiling part can be, therefore, prevented from condensation of dew.
