Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent overheating of liquid including an electrical conductive body.SOLUTION: A dryer 14 includes: a heating section 101 for heating liquid by applying an alternating electric field to liquid discharged to a medium 21; a detection section 102 for detecting a temperature of liquid including an electrical conductive body; and a control section 103 for controlling the alternating electric field based on the detected temperature so that the temperature of the liquid including the electrical conductive body does not exceed an upper limit value. The control section 103 stops generation of the alternating electric field when the temperature reaches equal to or higher than a first threshold value that is lower than the upper limit value, and starts the generation of the alternating electric field when the temperature reaches equal to or lower than a second threshold value that is lower than the first threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
