Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a dryer for paper machine having excellent drying efficiency, capable of uniformly drying both faces of a wet paper, free from troubles of curling, etc., and enabling the easy handling of paper piece in the case of web break.
CONSTITUTION: A wet paper 1 is transported together with a canvas 15 and dried by successively circulating on plural dryer rolls 11. The dryer for a paper machine having the above function is provided with plural dryer rolls 11 having a heating means in the roll and a jet dryer to blast a drying air stream against the canvas 15 on the dryer roll 11. Both faces of a wet paper can uniformly be dried in high efficiency by this apparatus. In case of web break, the handling of broken paper piece is easy because there is no jet-dryer under the dryer roll 11.
