PURPOSE: To provide a dryer section of a paper machine wherein a web in a paper making step is promptly dried and breakage during drying process is improved.

CONSTITUTION: A dryer section of a paper machine includes a normal drying cylinders groups RN provided with a single-wire draw 12 where heated contact drying cylinders 10 and leading cylinders or rolls 11 are arranged in an upper line and in a lower line respectively. Between and/or within the normal drying cylinders groups RN there are single drying modules 20-23 or plural drying modules 20A, 20B-23 where the opposite side of the web, in relation to the side of the web placed against the contact drying cylinders 10, is placed against the heated cylinder face 21. The drying module includes the single drying cylinder 20 or plural cylinders and the web is placed in direct contact against the heated cylinder face 21 of the cylinder.
