A dryer is provided with a container 11 which contains a water- containing material to be treated, an agitating means 15 which is set up in the container 11 and has agitating vanes 29, and a first fixed blade 16 arranged in the same direction as that of the rotating shaft of the agitating means 15 in the container 11. Therefore, the object crushing ability and agitating ability of the dryer are improved and a high drying accelerating effect can be obtained.
