To dry clothing in good conditions, regardless of the quantity of the clothing to be dried, stored in a drum.
When the quantity of clothing C to be dried, stored in a drum 3, is not more than a reference value, the drum is rotated at a normal speed. On the other hand, when the quantity of the clothing C is more than the reference value, the drum 3 is rotated faster than the normal speed. In this way, the high speed rotation of the drum 3 for more clothing C increases the stirring performance of a baffle 6 to cause easy stirring of the clothing C in the drum 3. Good stirring of the clothing C in the drum 3 causes good heat exchange between heated air passing through the drum 3 and the clothing C, which leads to more efficient and quicker drying of the clothing.
