To provide a dryer in which a matter to be dried is prevented from riding over a stator under a highly viscous semihardened state by eliminating the stator, the matter to be dried is prevented from hardening/adhering to the inner circumferential wall face of a drum or the disc blade or from rotating together even if the stator is eliminated, the matter to be dried is drawn in between the disc blades through rotation thereof and moved while being stirred, the heating surface can be utilized effectively, and high drying efficiency is ensured without causing extreme increase of power.
A hollow rotary shaft is passed rotatably through the shaft center part of a lateral tubular drum provided with a jacket on the outer circumferential surface. The hollow rotary shaft is provided continuously with a large number of hollow disc type stirring blades and the matter to be dried is stirred by means of the stirring blades while being heated with heating medium supplied to the jacket of the drum and heating medium fed through each stirring blade via the hollow rotary shaft. In such a dryer, a disc rotor having a rotary shaft provided continuously with a large number of small disc blades being fitted between the large number of stirring blades provided continuously on the hollow rotary shaft is juxtaposed while fitting the small disc blades between the stirring blades.
