PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dryer which can be operated without providing a large-scale equipment, such as piping for exhausting air to outdoor.SOLUTION: A dryer includes: a storage tank 6 for drying an object to be dried W stored therein; an air circulation passage 47 in which air can circulate through the storage tank 6; and a heat pump 4 having cooling means 42 for cooling air in the air circulation passage 47 and heating means 45 for heating air in the air circulation passage 47. The heat pump 4 includes: a thermal medium circulation passage 48 in which a thermal medium circulates through the cooling means 42 and the heating means 45; an expansion valve 41 for reducing the pressure of the thermal medium flowing from the heating means 45 toward the cooling means 42 in the thermal medium circulation passage 48, and a compressor 44 for pressurizing the thermal medium flowing from the cooling means 42 toward the heating means 45 in the thermal medium circulation passage 48. Liquid cooling type thermal medium cooling means 49 for cooling the thermal medium having passed through the heating means 45 is provided at a position between the heating means 45 and the expansion valve 41 and out of the air circulation passage 47.
